According to the (EC) No. 1223/2009 Cosmetics Regulation, the presence of fragrance allergens must be declared in the list of ingredients on the product label when its concentration exceeds 0.001% in leave-on products or 0.01% in rinse-off products.

Where HICC and Butylphenyl Methylpropional have been listed as prohibited substances in cosmetic products under the Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/1410 adopted on 2 August 2017 and the Commission Regulation (EU) 2021/1902 adopted on 29 October 2021.

How is the test conducted?

The test is conducted by in-house method using GC-MS and LC-MS/MS.

 

How long will the test take?

It will take 10-14 working days as regular service.

 

How much sample should be submitted for the test?

Please submit a minimum of 20g or 20ml per product for one test.
