Textile Exchange Standards Certification - Recycle Material (GRS / RCS)
SGS, accredited body for Textile Exchange in China under the Textile Exchange – Content Claim Standard (CCS), Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) and Global Recycled Standard (GRS), offers the certification service for recycled materials manufacturers, products containing recycled materials manufacturers, retailers and buyers who have requirements for recycled materials usage in the supply chain. GRS / RCS certification provides a reliable tool to ensure the accurate recycled content of final products.
According to ISO 14021, Recycled Materials means material that has been reprocessed from recovered material by means of a manufacturing process and made into a final product or into a component for incorporation into a product. In the textile industry, polyester, nylon, cotton, wool and down are common recycled materials in textiles; plastic, rubber, EVA, textile fabrics, artificial leather or synthetic leather, and natural leather are common recycled materials in footwear.
